Bio

My running career started in 4th grade when I decided to participate in Girls on the Run. After being a part of Girls on the Run I continued to run with my dad and participate in local 5ks. Once I hit junior high, I decided to join the cross-country team in 7th grade. I was not the best runner at all, but it was something I enjoyed doing so I decided to stick with it. I ran cross country from 7th all the way through 12th grade.

My season goals are to make memories, improve every meet, be motivated, and have fun. These are small goals that I set for myself every year I ran cross country in high school, and they always seemed to be the right goals. Motivation is a key component in my running career. Staying motivated helps me to compete better and to see that I can do this even when times are hard. Some of the things that motivate me to compete for SMC is being on the first cross country team in 25 years, my family, being able to run just one year before graduation, and just the overall point that I never saw myself running competitively like this after high school. Staying motivated throughout the season will not only help me get better as a runner but will help my teammates as well.
