Ella Bryan Now a Roadrunner
Ella Bryan of Jones, Michigan, has signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to run cross country for Coach Zac Sartori and the Roadrunners starting in Fall 2026. Bryan will also compete in track and field for SMC.
Coach Sartori said, "I'm really excited for Ella to make her competitive debut. She's been a home school student and a runner for the past few years now and she shows a lot of talent. She was unaware of the local homeschool track and field and cross country teams, so this will be her first time competing outside of road races and the like. I'm very confident that she'll be an asset to the program."
Bryan joins Taylor Sill of Berrien Springs, Tana Drobek of Mattawan and Jocelyn Kiner of Dowagiac in the 2026 SMC Women's Cross Country recruiting class.
In September 2025, the Roadrunners shocked the field and won the MCCAA Western Conference championship on their home course in Dowagiac. The team then finished the season ranked 18th in the country after competing in the NJCAA National Championships in unseasonably cold and snowy conditions at the Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
