Lainey Yearling Signs with SMC

Lainey Yearling of Quincy High School has signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to run cross country for Head Coach Zac Sartori and the Roadrunners this fall. Yearling will also compete in track and field for SMC.

Sartori said of Yearling, "I was elated to learn that Lainey would be joining us here at SMC. She is one of the most talented young ladies that we have had the opportunity to work with and I am very much looking forward to seeing what she may do. She will be a great asset to the team."

Yearling is the eighth member of SMC's 2025 Women's Cross Country recruiting class, joining Oakley Rigozzi of South Haven, Emmy Pritchard of Centreville, Gabby Wisdom of Watervliet, Zoie Wood of Gobles, Trinity Mortimore of Decatur, Emily King of Martin and Lillian Wolf of Hartford.

The season officially begins August 1, and the Roadrunners will toe the line at their first race at the Saint Francis Saints Twilight Invite in Channahon, Illinois, on Friday, August 29.
