Olesya Mullins Now a Roadrunner

Olesya Mullins of Beaufort High School in Beaufort, South Carolina, has signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to wrestle for the Roadrunners starting in Fall 2026.

Mullins, a former resident of Michigan, went 18-1 her senior year and is currently ranked #1 in South Carolina for her weight class.  She was the first woman from Beaufort to place at the state meet, where she was runner-up. Her career record is 115-12, and when in Michigan, she was a two-time state placer.

Coach Todd Hesson said of Mullins, "Olesya is a former Michigan wrestler excited to return to Michigan (she likes the snow!) and become a Roadrunner. She is hard-working, putting in the time and effort to achieve her goals."

Mullins joins Harleigh Toepfer of Portage Northern in the 2026 SMC Women's Wrestling recruiting class.

On April 8, SMC will hold a public ceremony to dedicate a new 11,195 square-foot wing of the Charles O. Zollar Building that quadruples the space available to the men's and women's wrestling teams. It doubles the mat capacity for practice sessions and provides additional competition space for hosting conference and regional meets. The new facility also includes a dedicated fitness and warm-up area, coaches' offices, locker rooms and additional restrooms.
