SMC Volleyball Loses Tough Battle to GRCC

The Southwestern Michigan College Volleyball Team lost a tough battle to the host, #1 seed and 13th-ranked Grand Rapids Raiders 18-25, 23-25, 20-25.  "We are prepared to beat them, and we were right there against them today within 2-5 points in two out of the three sets," said Head Coach Jenny Nate. "We played with confidence and executed.  Their attackers edged us at times, but each time we have played them we have learned and improved.  We need to refocus all of our energy on beating Mott tomorrow, and once we do that, we can work to finally take down GRCC.  Tonight, we are studying film, strategizing, and will come back tomorrow ready to earn our way to the championship match."
