Kallie Solloway is Now an SMC Roadrunner
Kallie Solloway of Brandywine High School and Dunes Volleyball Club has signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to play volleyball in the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse for Head Coach Jenny Nate and the Roadrunners.
SMC Coach Jenny Nate said of Solloway, "Kallie is a six-rotation, intense, strong kill hitter on the net. She knows how to score and is a fierce competitor. She is First Team Lakeland All Conference and plays on Dunes Volleyball Club's 18 Black where she will continue to compete at a high level and prepare for our college season. We are excited to add another top local athlete to our 2024 roster and welcome Kallie to the SMC Volleyball Team."
Dunes Coach Natalie Siebenmark, added, "Kallie is a competitor and will give you everything she's got to get the job done!"
Solloway joins Gia Jania of Westville (IN), Talan Hiemstra of Marcellus and Zyon Brazo of Niles in the 2024 SMC Volleyball recruiting class.
SMC Volleyball finished its second season after a 25-year hiatus with a record of 23-13. The Roadrunners improved to 7-5 in the MCCAA Western Conference, placing third and again qualifying for the Great Lakes District A Tournament. Individual players earned eight conference and regional awards, including All-Freshman Team, All-Conference Second Team, All-Conference First Team, All-Region Team and Player of the Year.
