SMC Falls to Glen Oaks in Four Sets

The Southwestern Michigan Volleyball Team lost a tough conference match up to Glen Oaks tonight 15-25, 11-25, 25-20, and 20-25. "We have to find a way to play our away matches at the same level we play our home matches. We just came out a little quiet and flat - and we had trouble getting in a groove offensively and defensively. We are coming off of our best match of the year last Friday against Muskegon, and I want to see us get in a groove where we deliver with aggressive focus, confidence, and consistency every single match no matter the location or opponent. The third set, we really sped up our game, started communicating, and playing to win which resulted in that third set win. We came back the fourth set and played tough but still not enough to pull out the win. We just have to regroup, learn from these losses, hit the court, and get back to work fine tuning those areas we need to tighten up while adding to our strengths. Our total focus shifts to Lansing next, and we are excited that we will get a second chance to play all of our conference opponents."  The Roadrunners are now 2-2 in the conference and 8-6 overall.
