Women's Basketball 1-1 Last Week

SMC Women's Basketball went 1-1 last week, with a home loss to #4-ranked Lansing and a road win at Glen Oaks.

On Wednesday, the Roadrunners again played the Stars very tough, but came up a bit short, 75-68. SMC was led by Trinity Dale with 32 points and 10 rebounds. She went 12-15 from the field and a blistering 5 of 6 from three-point range. Sophomore Kayla Johnson had 12 and sophomore Rayvan Rush added 8.

Saturday at Glen Oaks, the Vikings were a bit more of a test than at the last meeting in Dowagiac, but the Roadrunners got the road victory, 65-57, to move to 13-11 overall and 7-4 in the Western Conference. In the win, Dale had 25 points and 13 boards and Katlynn Williams-Clark went for 21 points, while freshman Diavian Robinson grabbed eight rebounds.

The last game of the regular season will be Tuesday night in the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse vs. the LMC Red Hawks, and the Roadrunners will likely play in the opening round of the Great Lakes District Tournament on March 3.
