Home Winning Streak Ends at 12

The SMC Women's Basketball Team lost their first game of the season in the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse after 12 straight victories, falling 58-66 to the KVCC Cougars. The Roadrunners played tough all day, leading at the end of Q1 and at halftime, but some late turnovers by the home team proved costly.

The all-freshman team is playing right with more seasoned teams at the top of the Western Conference. Cameron Thomas led the Roadrunners with 23, while Macey Laubach added 22 and Tori Eldridge had 7.
 
SMC slips to 15-8 and 5-4 in the conference. They travel to Lansing to take on the Stars on Wednesday, February 22.
