Women's Basketball Remains Perfect at Home

The Roadrunners kept rolling last week, picking up two more wins on their home court to remain 12-0 in the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse.

On Wednesday, SMC got out to a five-point lead over Marian Ancilla after the first quarter and just kept pushing, taking a seven-point lead into the locker room. They led by 14 after three quarters and the final margin was 20. The Roadrunners were led by Macey Laubach with 19, Cameron Thomas added 18 and Ariana Lemons earned a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds in the win.

Saturday versus the Kellogg Bruins was more of the same, with SMC taking a 25-point lead into halftime and holding it right there through the second period. Cameron Thomas had 23 and Macey Laubach added 17, and Naenae Kirkland had 7 off the bench.

The Roadrunners are now 15-7 overall and 5-3 in the Western Conference. They get a bye this Wednesday before the KVCC Cougars come to town on Saturday, February 18.
