Bio
I was born and raised in Dowagiac, Michigan. In high school I played soccer. When I graduated my brother and I started lifting weights to stay in shape. Every day, before we started a session, we would run a mile on the treadmill to get warmed up. One day my brother, Ethan (who is also on the team), had the idea to run a local 5k, so we signed up and raced. The following week at our next race we met David Dodd, who we now call Grandpa Dave, who trained us and taught us how to run properly and what mileage we should be doing.
This season I hope to stay healthy. Individually, I would love to place in the top 20 at nationals. I think this is a tough, but reasonable goal. For the team, I would like to place in the top 3 in our conference. I believe we have the right coach and runners to be able to do it. I'm super motivated by being competitive. It’s in my blood to do good at everything I participate in. Southwestern Michigan College is only the start to my competitive running, I plan on doing whatever it takes to make it to a professional standard of running.
