SMC Men Take Down Two Hoops Rivals

SMC Men's Basketball gutted out two important conference wins this week against Glen Oaks and Lake Michigan College. 

On Wednesday in the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse, SMC took a four-point lead into the locker room and finished strong, 83-69. The Roadrunners were led by sophomore Davion Goins with 30 points, freshman Jovi Ratliff stayed hot from behind the arc (4-7) for 18, and Deuce Weston added 11. 

On Saturday at LMC, SMC took the conference road win over the Red Hawks, 79-76. The game was pretty tight through the first half, and the Roadrunners found themselves down 8 at the break. But the game is 40 minutes, not 20, and SMC was able to get back into it and hold on in the last few minutes, led by Ratiff with 29. Goins and freshman Jayen Ingram each put in 17.
