MBB Falls to Raiders on the Road
SMC Men's Basketball lost in Grand Rapids to the GRCC Raiders on Wednesday night, 85-73, which puts their postseason prospects in more jeopardy. The Roadrunners currently sit in 7th place in the MCCAA West at 3-7 (14-11 overall) - the playoffs will include the top five teams in the table.
The Roadrunners were down by 17 at the half and down a much as 20 in the second period, but battled throughout to close the margin at the end. Sophomore Prince Adams had himself a night with 27 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks. Sophomore AJ Hull also double-doubled with 18 points and 17 rebounds, while freshman Davion Goins added 11 points.
SMC next faces the conference-leading KVCC Cougars at home on Saturday, February 15, with a chance to make up some ground in the standings with an upset.
