Men's Basketball Carries 11-4 Record into Conference Play

After losing a tough game in overtime at Owens, SMC Men's Basketball defeated Jackson on the road 78-63, with sophomore guard Rodell Davis, Jr. scoring 27, going 9-of-12 overall from the field and 8-of-10 from three-point range. 

The Roadrunners head into the MCCAA Western Conference season at 11-4 overall, looking to get back to the Great Lakes District tournament. The conference track begins on Saturday, January 11 at Marian Ancilla, with the first home contest on Saturday, January 18 versus the Grand Rapids Raiders. With the addition of teams at Montcalm Community College, Grand Rapids moves from the Northern Conference into the West beginning this year, meaning SMC will play seven teams twice each, both home and away, rather than the six foes they have faced the last two years.
