Roadrunners Kings in the North

SMC Men's Basketball trekked north over the weekend for two games against non-conference opponents and won both of them, moving to a 10-3 record overall.  

On Friday against the North Central Michigan Timberwolves, SMC dominated, leading by 30 at the half and eventually putting away the home team by 32, 81-49. The Timberwolves just had no answer for sophomore Aries Hull, who again double-doubled with 21 points and 10 rebounds, going a perfect 5-5 from the field and 10-11 from the charity stripe. Freshman Davion Goins scored 12 and sophomore RJ Davis went 3-5 from long distance to add 11 points.  

Saturday at Kirtland was more competitive and the Roadrunners led by just one at the half. The second half went more SMC's way and the visitors defeated the Firebirds by a final tally of 70-58. Hull again double-doubled with 18 points and 14 boards, Goins went for 16 and freshman Gio Williams had a career-high 11 points, going 3-5 from downtown and 2-2 from the line. 

SMC has a short break for finals and then travels to face the Owens Express on December 19 at 7:30pm.
