Roadrunners Drop Home Game to Cougars
Saturday was a tough day on the hardwood for the SMC Men's Basketball Team, as they fell to the KVCC Cougars 78-92. The Roadrunners trailed by 8 at the half, and were able to cut the lead to just two points with 12 minutes left, but then got a bit sloppy with the ball (committing 27 turnovers in the game) and could not get closer against a more veteran team.
Sean Burress led the home team with 19, Rashawn Bost and Mark Williams each dropped in 15, Mari Nichols added 11 and Nate Goins had 10 off the bench. Williams got a double-double, pulling down 12 rebounds.
SMC slips to 13-9 overall and 4-5 in the Western Conference. They will try to stop the two-game skid Wednesday, February 22, at Lansing.
