Men's Basketball Gets Another Road W, But Falls at Home

In a reverse of their women counterparts, the SMC Men's Basketball team pulled off a last-second road win at Glen Oaks, but fell to LMC at home.

On Wednesday, after trailing by nine at the half, the Roadrunners steadily hunted the Glen Oaks Vikings and Mark Williams' deep 3 with 12.6 seconds left lifted them to a key road win. In addition to Williams' 15, Mari Nichols had 14 and Mikel Forrest had 10.

On Saturday, the Roadrunners got in an early hole to the LMC Red Hawks and had to play catchup the rest of the day. They just could not get the shots to fall and dropped an 83-69 home decision at the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse.

SMC shot just 2-22 from behind the arc. Sean Burress had 23 for the home team, Mikel Forrest put in 19 and Zach Stokes shot 80% from the field for 9 points.

SMC is now 12-7 and 3-3 in the Western Conference. They host Marian Ancilla on Wednesday and Kellogg CC next Saturday.
