Men’s BB Snaps GRCC Win Streak, Beats Raiders 68-67

The SMC men's basketball team had arguably their biggest win of the year so far at the 1^st Source Bank Fieldhouse, as they snapped the 11-game win streak of the previously-undefeated Grand Rapids Community College Raiders by a score of 68-67.

Mikel Forrest had a second straight game with 25 points and was just one rebound shy of a double-double. The game was close the whole way through, with Zach Stokes giving the Roadrunners the lead at the line in the closing seconds. GRCC's last shot was wide left as the clock ran out.   

Sean Burress came off the bench and had 17 points while dishing 7 assists. Mari Nichols poured in 15 points.

SMC is now 8-4 and begins MCCAA Western Conference play at Marian Ancilla at 3pm on Saturday, January 14.
