3 Teams and 38 Roadrunners Earn All-Conference Academic Honors

On Tuesday, the Michigan Community College Athletic Association announced their All-Academic Teams for the 2025-2026 season, and SMC is well represented. 

Three Roadrunner squads were on the list; Women's Volleyball led the way with a 3.44 overall team GPA. Women's Cross Country finished with a 3.19 team mark and Men's Cross Country had a 3.02. 

Thirty-eight individuals were honored as well. (Women's Wrestling and Track & Field are not yet official MCCAA sports.) 

 

All-Conference (3.0 – 3.199 GPA)

 

Men's Basketball: Bryce Hayes, JaTorian Smith

Men's Cross Country: Carlos Ruiz-Garcia, Tyler Caruso, Zachary Mitchell

Men's Wrestling: Cole Reitz, Dayveon Rupert, Trent Mansfield

 

All-MCCAA (3.20+ GPA)

 

Men's Basketball: Davion Goins, Jovohn Ratliff

Men's Cross Country: Daniel Brooks, Gavin Sehy, Jack Williams, Julian Pullins, Owen Saylor

Men's Wrestling: Carson Webster, Chaz Underwood, Jayce Ritchie

Women's Basketball: Cooper Roberts, Kayla Johnson, Trinity Dale

Women's Cross Country: Amelia Hurst, Angel Nearpass, Audrey Wolf, Emily King, Lainey Yearling, Lillian Wolf

Women's Volleyball: Amie Schutz, Breanna Bara, Emma Hull, Isabella Tibbles, Kadence Bixby, Lily Kowalik, Maggie Arney, Meah Evans, Reese Maas, Ryli Burks, Sophia Bachman
